Do Tell Storytelling Festival Is “On the Move”

Presenting Kat Williams March 11

and

Donna Marie Todd March 22.

This year, STEAP (Storytelling, Education, and Arts Programs) a local non-profit is trying a new approach to highlight talented storytellers around town . Rather than a one-day festival as they have presented in past years, they are featuring a slate of events around Hendersonville to help boost local businesses by bringing audiences directly to their shops and restaurants.

On Tuesday, March 11th, Kat Williams, an Emmy nominated jazz singer and former winning contestant on America’s Got Talent, will perform at  Restaurant beginning at 7PM. Kat has been praised for her “heartfelt rendition of soulful songs.” Those songs include the Jazz standards as well as Blues and some Rock and Roll. She’s been compared to Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald among other Jazz greats.

Restaurant is located at 317 7th Avenue East in Hendersonville’s recently refurbished Historic 7th Venue District. Reservations can be made at  or by calling (828) 471-7500.

On Saturday, March 22, Donna Marie Todd, a “Voice of the South” award winner, will perform at Art Mob, an art gallery and studio in downtown Hendersonville from 2-4PM. She will present both songs and stories designed to bring laughter and insights to the audience. She has been described as “A gifted storyteller whose stories flow with imagery, humor, emotion, and truth.”

Art Mob Gallery and Studio is located at 124 4th Avenue East in downtown Hendersonville. Learn more at  or by calling (828) 693-4545.
